Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of HostedInvite (hostedinvite.com) and the done-for-you event invitation pages, related tools, and services we provide (the “Service”). By browsing the site, submitting a booking, or paying for a package, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

HostedInvite provides custom digital event invitation pages hosted on hostedinvite.com, including features such as schedules, FAQs, QR codes, RSVP collection, and (on higher packages) unique guest links. Contact: hello@hostedinvite.com.

2. The Service

We design and host an event page based on the package you purchase (Spark, Glow, or Spotlight) and the information you provide. Packages are defined by features (not event type). Sample pages on the site are demos only—not custom work for your event until you book and pay.

  • Work starts after full payment is received.
  • Turnaround and included edit rounds are as stated for your package at purchase.
  • After included edit rounds, further changes may require an add-on or new purchase.
  • Your page stays live for the live window included in your package (unless extended by add-on or agreement).

3. Your responsibilities

You agree that you will:

  • Provide accurate event details, photos, and guest information you have the right to use and share.
  • Not use the Service for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive content or events.
  • Obtain any permissions needed for photos, music references, or guest data you submit.
  • Keep login or admin credentials (if any) confidential and notify us of unauthorized access.

You are responsible for how you share invite links and for guest conduct related to your event.

4. Payment, pricing, taxes & refunds

Package prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated. Payment is due in full up front. Payments are processed by Stripe (or another processor); their terms also apply to the payment step.

Taxes: HostedInvite is offered nationwide (and may serve customers outside the U.S. where Stripe supports checkout). Sales tax, VAT, or similar amounts may be calculated and added at checkout based on your billing address and applicable law (via Stripe Tax when enabled). The amount shown on package cards is the package fee before tax; the final charge including any tax appears on the Stripe Checkout page and your receipt.

Refund policy (custom digital service):

  • Before we start design work (no draft or design progress yet): contact us promptly — we will generally issue a full refund of the package fee paid (tax treatment follows Stripe/your receipt).
  • After design work has begun or a draft page has been shared: fees are generally non-refundable. We may offer a partial credit or alternate package at our discretion if we cannot deliver what you purchased for reasons within our control.
  • After you approve and go live (or after included edit rounds are used): no refund for change of mind, unused live days, archiving the event early, or choosing not to share the invite. Archiving or ending an event early does not create a refund.
  • Duplicate accidental charges or clear processor errors: we will correct or refund the erroneous amount.

To request a refund review, email hello@hostedinvite.com with your order email and event name within a reasonable time of purchase. Chargebacks for delivered custom work may be disputed.

5. Intellectual property

You retain rights to content you provide (photos, text, logos). You grant us a license to use that content solely to build, host, and operate your event page and related Service features.

The HostedInvite brand, site design, demo content, and platform remain our property. We grant you a limited license to use your event page during the live window for your event. You may not resell our platform or clone our demos as a competing product.

6. Guest data & RSVPs

If your package includes RSVP, guest lists, or unique invite links, you act as the host of that guest information. You must have a lawful basis to collect it (for example, inviting people you know). See our Privacy Policy for how we process data as a service provider.

7. Availability & disclaimers

We aim for reliable hosting but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, email deliverability of messages you send yourself, guest attendance, or third-party map/calendar apps. The Service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the page will meet every aesthetic preference beyond the included edit rounds.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HostedInvite and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or event-related losses. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the package giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or remove content or pages that violate these Terms or applicable law. After your live window ends, we may take the page offline or archive it. You may request earlier removal by contacting us.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms for new purchases and ongoing use.
