Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how HostedInvite (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use hostedinvite.com and our done-for-you event invitation Service.
1. Information we collect
From hosts (you): name, email, event type and details, package choice, messages you send us, photos and copy you provide, payment-related status (processed by our payment provider), and technical data such as IP address and browser type when you use the site.
From guests (your invitees): information they submit on an event page—typically name, RSVP status, plus-one details, and optional comments or contact fields you enable. On Spotlight packages, we may store unique invite tokens, guest names you upload, and whether a private link was opened (open tracking).
Automatically: basic server and security logs, cookies or similar technologies needed for sessions (for example admin login), and optional analytics if we enable them later.
2. How we use information
- To build, host, and operate your event page and QR/RSVP features
- To process bookings, payments, and support requests
- To communicate about your order, drafts, go-live, and edits
- To improve the Service, prevent abuse, and secure our systems
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use guest RSVP lists to market unrelated products to your guests.
3. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us run the business (e.g. hosting, database, payment processing such as Stripe, email delivery). They may process data only as needed to provide their services.
- You (the host) — RSVP and guest activity on your event are available to you as part of the Service.
- Legal / safety — if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Event pages you choose to make public (or share via link/QR) will show the event content you approved. Unique private guest links are intended for the invited guest; anyone with the link may open it.
4. Retention
We keep host order and page data for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Event pages are typically live for the package live window; after expiry we may delete or anonymize event and RSVP data within a reasonable period, unless we need to keep records (e.g. paid invoices).
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use strong passwords for any admin access and only share invite links with intended recipients.
6. Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or object to certain processing. Hosts can contact us to update order details or request deletion of an event page after the event. Guests should contact the host first for RSVP corrections; they may also contact us and we will coordinate with the host when appropriate.
Email us at hello@hostedinvite.com.
7. Children
The Service is directed at adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for marketing accounts. Event pages may mention children’s parties when a parent or guardian is the host.
8. International users
We may process and store information in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand information may be transferred to those locations.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date will change when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or emailed to recent customers when appropriate.
